I think this may have been posted or talked about before, but this is a fairly new article and interesting so I thought I'd post it, especially in light of the looming descision.

"The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology are investing about $300,000, to conduct detailed geologic mapping in the Thacker Pass area of the McDermitt caldera in northern Nevada, which hosts some of the richest lithium districts in the United States and North America."
