If the proposed transaction by Ganfeng Lithium included both a good price and a complete bail out from the North American spin off of LAC then that combined move might have more attraction and also completely remove any charge of Chinese influence and/or control regrding the soon to be created North American LAC entity, assuming that LAC still has as its goal not only the appearance of zero Chinese influence and control over its North American operations, but also the actual achievement of said goal.
