At separation, LAC will simply change its ticker to LAAC, so there should be no delay. 

I don't know how the timeline for the new LAC shares to issue and appear in your trading acount. Hopefully it will also be seemless.

My only experience with seperations has been with an ASX (Australian) listed company, and it was seamless.
