Irony Solved?

How about using wind generated electricity from off shore sites to recharge electric powered ships that tend to those same sites, eh?
Done!
“Now I want to see cargo ships do the same, visiting offshore wind farms while they go up and down the coasts (at least until we can build floating platforms in the middle of the ocean to charge during ocean crossing trips),” they said.
Let's revisit that last quote for a second, or more. "I want to see cargo ships do the same".
Should that last event become common place then the market for maritime batteries to power those cargo ships would be..... "substantial", to put it mildly.
"DEMAND" for lithium batteries is determined by a multitude of different products that require some sort of lithium. Adding one more to the pile, especially one that has such a potential to be a very large and hugry source, is a potential major step forward for creating signifiicantly more demand.
Just like the fledgling commercial electric powered airplane industy, this future tie in with off shore wind (and they didn't mention off shore wave electricity generation!) electricity generation has the potential to change the dynamics of battery demand and specifically lithium battery demand.
Some "Good News" sprinkled amongst the Not So Good "News".
Onward through the FOG!
