GM and the Volt

The Volt, a hybrid EV, was discontinued by GM in 2019. Currently GM is having problems selling all of its BEV offerings. Any search on the computer for "Bring back the Volt" turns up an amazing amount of articles in sympathy to this bridge from ICE to BEV totality. As for the issue of lithium ion batteries it is important to remember that Hybrid EVs still use batteries and most are some form of lithium battery. The slump in lithium prices has been affected by a decrease in the rate of increase in consumer demand here in the U.S. for pure EVs, BEV. Perhaps GM and the other car EV makers might benefit temporarily by re-examining their emphasis on BEV vs Hybrid EVs?
Just one short video is linked below regarding a specific PHEV that might help GM out should GM decide to "bring it back":

I am reminded of Coca Cola's famous Faux Pas when they switched from Classic Coke to the New Coke... what a disaster that was for Coca Cola and here we are, years later, back to Classic Coke while the New Coke is just a figment lost in the rear view memory. Maybe, for the time being, GM should re-examine it's own version of Classic Coke?
Do a search for "Bringing Back the Volt" and see how much interest ther is in this, especially after GM announced back in January of this year that it was looking again at PHEV.
