Message: Pebl enclosed 3 wheel EV tricycle

Truly an "Off Topic" subject.  Just an update to a previous post.  This little EV is amazing.  The wife took it out today, Thanksgiving day, for the first time.  She has only driven a car once, when she was a teenager.  On that one occasion she was stopped by the police and asked for her driver's license.  Well, she didn't have one and still doesn't, but the Pebl is classified as an electric bicycle so no license is needed, no registration and no insurance is required.  She will still limit her "driving" to residential streets with a 25 mph speed limit and to other streets that have a large bicycle lane.  She will never operate it like a car or motor scooter, but it does give her an added amount of independence that she wouldn't have without the Pebl. She can't ride it everywhere, but she only needs it to access shoping areas within a 5 mile range by combining the use of residential streets and wide available bicycle lanes.

Speed?  Well, not much... 10 to 12 mph most of the time and ocassionally up to 15 mph.  She won't be winning any races, but it is enclosed and protects against the weather and is easily visible to anyone else driving in the vicinity with al the lights and reflection and bright lime green color.

Vehicles like Pebl will never be a major part of the EV world, but the part that the do play is extremely important to those people who use Pebl for transport, just as those who routinely use electric bicycles attach importance to their little sliver of the EV world.

Don't expect to see one of these in your neighborhood anytime soon, they will never be mass produced.  Where they are in use they command a lot of attention since there is nothing else like them on the street.

The video below is not the one we own, but ours looks almost exactly like this one:
