I owned my honda generators for 10 years they never got a ounce of gas put in them and where stored for 10 years for just in case emergency i recently sold them to a brother .

 During my last 48 hr power outage about 5 years ago i did use my cheap generator to run a small potable heater that i sat in front of to stay warm . i still own it and at least i can run a heater and a few lights but nothing else .its output is only 1850 watts not good to run much of any thing .fyi a electric motor on startup draws 3 times as much power as it does under run mode . 

i was extremely impressed with your earlier link about solar panels and the lithium battery pack great price i want it as a toy and a minimum back up system there web page was very informative my only disappointment was 4 solar panels with  a 100 watt output each i don't know for sure but isn't that very low for a solar panel?
