More on the Thacker Pass Protest movement.

wall71121:

"Environmentalists: Mining is bad, green energy is good.

But you need lithium to make batteries for electric cars.
Oh, the irony!  They'll wind up picketing themselves"

So what was it that piqued wall71121 so much that he made the above post?  It was the following article, linked below:

Thacker Pass: Nevada lithium mine proposal creates controversy, lawsuits - Deseret News

So what is the "Deseret News" and what might be their editorial bias?

Wikepedia:  "The Deseret News Publishing Company is a publishing company headquartered in Salt Lake CityUtahUnited States. It is a subsidiary of Deseret Management Corporation (DMC), a holding company owned by the Corporation of the President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The company publishes the daily Salt Lake City area newspaper, Deseret News, and its weekly inserts the Church News and Mormon Times."

It is not a Nevada publishing company at all and it is not local to Humboldt County, Nevada.  The "Thacker Pass Protest" movement continues as does their 14 day required rotation of personnel and as also does the legal maneuvers via law suits to attempt to stop the development of Thacker Pass by Nevada Lithium, LAC.  The questions regarding water management, water table effects and water quality effects also continue... just like the continuing movement of the proposed production timeline for Thacker Pass.

This soap opera reminds me of the old saw from the first half of the 20th century:  "It's not over till the Fat Lady sings".  As that relates to Thacker Pass, the Fat Lady hasn't begun to sing...yet.  This makes it even more imperative that the situation in Cauchari-Olaroz should progress to the earliest possible production date, yet an examination of the company website Timeline for Cauchari-Olaroz now shows that Timeline production date to be all the way to 3d Quarter of 2022, more than a year away from now.

So for Cauchari-Olaroz the same conclusion holds:  not only has the Fat Lady not sung yet, she hasn't even shown up at the ball park.

IF, indeed, Patience is a virtue then Long term LAC stockowners are truly a breed of extremely virtuous persons.
