So, the idea is that sunlight in Chile will power night time use in China.  China is very aggressive in reaching out to South American... in more ways than one.

This shows how extreme solar generation of electricity can become.  What is realy amazing to me is the extent alrady in China regarding the wide spread use of photovoltaic power generation within China itself.  And now they need to go an ocean away, the Pacific Ocean never the less, to capture more power?

Just seems a little more than curious.  Wondering about the geopolitical implications in this move.
