The Malvinas (Falkland Islands) dispute with the U.K. is certainly not a dead issue for the Argentinians and it is this smoldering ember that gives an opportunity for China to intertwine itself into internal affairs in Argentina along with the obvious trade with China and Chinese investments in key Argentine ares of the economy, such as mining for example.  Cauchari-Olaroz is but one example, but certainly an important example to LAC investors.
