Interesting post, Okiedo. Obviously, you have first-hand knowledge of working with Indians. I only know what I learned in the books and main media.
Indian tribes have a reason not to trust our government. Here in the Midwest story of the Cherokee tribe is well known.
During the Revolutionary War some Indian tribes fought on the British side , but not Cherokee Indians.. After fighting together with US troops there were promised full independence, but shortly after US government broke its word and a terrible thing happened:

I still hope that LAC management will be able to work together with the Indian community through school and job programs.
