Teledermatology is a subspecialty of dermatology that offers safe and effective virtual care—patient assessment and diagnosis—at a distance, eliminating the need for in-person appointments. With the world navigating through ongoing COVID-19 recovery measures, teledermatology's advancement has never been more critical to patient care and outcomes. Dr. Champagne will drive ongoing innovation with MedX's teledermatology offering, including the Company's leading-edge image capture technology (SIAscopy®) for moles, lesions and other skin conditions via its secure, cloud-based patient management system (DermSecure®), which transmits and stores patient data through the assessment process. MedX's SIAscopy® is the only technology that takes five images, including four spectrophotometric images 2 mm below the skin's surface.

In addition to his leadership appointment at MedX, Dr. Champagne is a dermatologist at the Women's College Hospital in Toronto, as well as an Assistant Professor (Clinician in Quality and Innovation, Division of Dermatology) at the University of Toronto's Temerty Faculty of Medicine, Canada's top-ranked medical school.

Rob von der Porten

Interim Executive Chair

Rob joined MedX in November, 2013 as Chief Executive Officer. He has an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, and has nearly 40 years’ experience as an executive holding senior positions in a number of North American industrial, retail, manufacturing, marketing and technology companies.

LOUIE CANITANO

Managing Director Light Therapy Products

Louie was Co-Clinical Director responsible for management, mergers and acquisitions for a group of several successful “G” Code and Schedule 5 OHIP physiotherapy and chiropractic clinics, introducing and utilizing laser therapy as a palliative modality. He was also a founder and held executive positions within several emerging growth Healthcare companies. Louie has a B. Sc. in Natural Health Sciences.

Naman Demaghlatrous

Chief Executive Officer

With more than 20 years of health-care and pharmaceutical industry experience, Mr. Demaghlatrous has served in senior roles with medical and pharma companies in Europe and North America. He joined MedX in 2021 as Managing Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa Operations, and has been focused on developing and expanding the Company’s global market opportunities, and establishing distribution partnerships and adoption in Europe and North America of the MedX Dermsecure® platform and related technology.

LESLEY BOURGET

Chief Financial Officer

With more than 30 years’ experience in health-care, pharmaceutical and CPG industries, Ms. Bourget has a proven track record for profit generation by successfully leading product portfolio optimization efforts, negotiating large-scale acquisitions, and conceiving and implementing mergers in the R&D space. Ms. Bourget most recently served as CFO of Aspen Pharmacare Canada, where she was instrumental in achieving company-record profit levels, and optimizing inventory and wholesaler processes. Ms. Bourget’s appointment will further support MedX’s global commercialization strategy, as the Company seeks to build on the momentum of current commercial and product distribution pilots underway across North America and Europe, with additional pilots anticipated in the coming months

LARRY PETERSEN

Director of International Business Development

Larry is responsible for developing and managing an international network of MedX Product distributors for the MedX Siascopy Technology products (MoleMate) and the Therapeutic and Dental Laser Therapy Product line.
He also manages sales to some markets in the U.S. He has successfully developed and launched strategic sales and marketing plans for numerous medical devices, implementing them internationally, including Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Australia. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Flight School, Pensacola, Florida, and served in combat in the United States Navy. He holds a BA in Marketing and Business from Iowa University.

DR. DANIEL A. KAUTE

Managing Director, Europe

Daniel’s specialty is high-tech commercialization strategy and implementation. Daniel is the former President and CEO of Environmental Waste International Inc. (a public company – TSX Venture: “EWS”)
Prior to EWS, Daniel was CEO of Renewable Energy Management Inc. where his principal roles were to define strategy, streamline operations, and raise capital. He successfully raised $3.2 million in seed funding from strategic partners. Daniel studied engineering with a double diploma from École Centrale de Paris, France, and University of Stuttgart, Germany. He received his Ph.D. in materials engineering at Cambridge University, UK.

Chantal Ward, RN

Director, Dermatological Services

Chantal Ward RN, a Diploma Nurse Graduate from an operating room background, has 20+ years’ experience as a clinical trainer of advanced medical aesthetic equipment and technology. Her expertise is acknowledged across Canada and around the world, where she has provided guidance and training to hundreds of medical aesthetic professionals. Ms. Ward is Co-Founder of Clarity MedSpa & Laser Centre, Toronto and has significant experience with MedX’s SIAscopy on DermSecure™.

Anthony Milonas

Director

Mr. Milonas is President and CEO of Canadian Orthodontic Partners, a company overseeing a national network of orthodontic practices. Mr. Milonas was responsible for the expansion of the group’s number of practices from 28 to approximately 55 and has held senior roles in both large publicly-traded companies as well as privately-held small and mid-sized companies. Mr. Milonas stated, “I am looking forward to working with such a talented team. MedX’s SIAscopy™ combined with its DermSecure™ platform are, in my view, an ideal combination for today’s challenging environment and the shift towards digital health care.”

Wayne Cockburn

Director

Mr. Cockburn is President of The Clinic Network Canada, one of Canada’s largest providers of out-of-hospital pain management services. Mr. Cockburn previously founded the medical device company, iTech Medical, leading it through product approval in Europe and Canada. "I am very pleased to be joining the MedX team at such a pivotal time,” Mr. Cockburn said. “The meticulous development, regulatory and commercialization work that they've done over the past several years has, I believe, put them in a good position to not only become a leader in their field, but also allow them to save the lives of so many people who become affected by skin cancer."
