The reason I give for the volume is the negative tone to the markets in general lately. Seems to me no one wants to trade much and it is floating without direction, buyers wondering if it may sag more, sellers not willing to let go of core holdings, just fringe shares for position. Once market rebounds, positive sentiment returns or better; news, then it will gap big and in a hurry. JMO.
