I got an interesting text from a friend of mine today. I live in Newtown, CT, about 5 miles from MNKD's Danbury location. A very good friend, also a MNKD long, had a party at his house today for his daughters soccer teams end of season. As he was getting to know the parents, he walked in on a conversation. The women was a chemist in the pharma industry and had been laid off from her job early in 2011 with most of her coworkers. After having some difficulty finding new prospects in this economy, she went back to school to work on a nursing degree which she has just about completed. She recently was contacted by her old employer and got some exciting news... her old employer is looking to hire back most of the laid off chemists this coming August. She would get her grants and even newly issued ones. She is having a personal dilemma about going back now that she had "moved on" ...but said it was enticing. My friend asked what company she was referring to and she said "Mannkind...you have probably never heard of it".

This is absolutely true and happened today. He was asking if we should buy more shares. Given the 3 insider buys, Mann selling off other interesting to boost liquidity and this news...i think something good is happening and I'm going to start buying again. I'm still concerned about financing but if they are starting to rehire...the money must be coming from somewhere.
