Many big pharmas such as GSK are setting up shops there. They don't seem to worry about the things you talked about.
IMHO, the protection of intellectual rights is really up to the will of the government. It is one thing to watch cloned movie DVD, it is another to use potential dangerous cloned drugs. Afrezza being so delicate in both powder and delivery devices, I doubt hospticals and consumers would buy cloned products.
On the other hand, the company can't charge $1200 a year for the drug either or no one in China can afford it. The company can make profit but just not the obsene amount as it could in the US.
