Remember the LLY rumors? Is it possible that from a legal or strategic perspective LLY had to see the AMLN deal close before showing their hand? Even if LLY is not on the partner list, the acquisition of AMLN by a major pharma puts MNKD in play for partnership or M&A. It even makes me wonder if this is what Al had in mind when he referenced a deal by early to mid-summer. Possibly the AMLN buyout just took a little longer and now..... Is this is the logical explanation for the price runnup? Industry insiders would have been very aware of what was going to happen to AMLN and its implications for MNKD.
