Message: Are These Insiders Telling You to Buy?

Am I missing something here? As much as I like all the recent positive press, and the (attendant) lovely rise in the share price, what the heck is the Fool saying? And isn't this article just the poster child for these shark-like services (Fool, Seeking Alpha, etc)? These guys remind me of what we used to call in real estate the MAI ("made as instructed") appraisals!

Do they not know that Al Mann did not dip into his pocket for these shares, but that this transaction was a conversion of a small portion of the loan he made to his company into common shares? Or do they think that Mann had the option to call that part of his promissory note and get CASH from MNKD - LOL! Or just roll the debt, so that he could be senior to common shareholders? Also LOL, because if they don't get the approval in the next few years, the shares and the debt will be worth the very same, very round number.

Again, tell me what I'm missing? I want to see this company succeed very badly, but never to the extent of disseminating misleading information, especially to people who cannot afford to lose investment dollars. That's what the Wall Street pros and their kin are in business to do!

Maybe it's my misunderstanding, Lord knows, that's been known to happen! And I'd love to be wrong on this, albeit very embarassed! And I'm surely not saying that Al won't put more money into MNKD, but that's partly a question of how much he has left for that purpose, he's almost made of money, but he's not the FED!
