If in fact Mann was speaking factually when he said a small country wanted to place a $200 million order, there are many financial companies that would lend money against that order. Obviously it would come at a steep premium but it could supplement another round of financing. If the company is unable to produce the order without financing all Mann would have to do is prove the validity of the claim to get somebody to underwrite it. This does not qualify as being able to get credit for the massive amount of insulin in the company vault but close. The thing I worry about with a major purchase like this everyone would be able to determine what the unit cost would work out to and set a precedence for what MannKind is willing to sell Afrezza for.
