It is a bogus argument that just because a patient has to take one injection a day, she would be glad to take 3 more. One less shot is one less stab in the flesh. How hard is to understand that? The embassassment of going to bathroom to take a shot at the restaurant would justify using Afrezza alone.
Basel inhalation is not a priority because the potential competition of long lasting injected basel insulin. Also, it is not supposed to go out of bloodstream quick so that I don't know whether Afrezza would offer any advantage other than the convenience.
