I was told that I would eventually need insulin (type 2 for about 10 years). Checking my blood sugar level in restaurants, on planes or in any public space is uncomfortable not just for me but by anyone able to observe it. I usually don't check in public but sometimes don't have the option.
Administering an injection in public is very uncomfortable according to my friends that use insulin. I can only imagine. I take an injection of Bydureon once a week and my spouse and daughters can't stand to watch.
It is not good. A small, indiscreet inhaler is a game changer. How sad that it is taking so long to be approved.
