Edit this title from the Fast Facts Section
I may have misinterpreted your post. Bydureon is fast acting after the first 2-3 injections and does initiate insulin production in the pancreas after carbs (sugar) is detected. I really wouldn't know about it how fast it is in comparison to Afrezza.
During my study I wore a meter which measured my blood sugars every 5 minutes 24 hours a day for two weeks. Week one I ate a controlled diet they provided and week two I ate as I usually do with measuring carbs and recording every meal.
The results were pretty impressive, but I really can't remember all the details. My results were presented to a panel of doctors from Germany, Russia and S. Korea by a professor at the University of Minnesota. I was present to asnswer questions about my experience with the drug. I really enjoyed participating in all of it.
Now, as a type 2 I am not yet insulin dependent. I am told that I will be some day and I suspect that is when Bydureon will be ineffective and I would switch (hopefully) to Afrezza.
