Actually some have taken out at higher than that (Pharmasett $11B) with no revenue today. Also don't forget to price in the market overreaction as this will be big news. Approval and partner will have the pharma world buzzing. Everything swings too far. Look at VVUS right now...never deserved to be 28 post approval and doesn't deserve to be 10 after reporting just 2 weeks of start up sales. Happy to say I sold at 19 but am reconsidering rebuying if it goes to 8-9 where I originally bought it. Take advantage of the huge sentimental swing. Obesity is only going to continue and grow just like Diabetes.
You are right how disappointing this is now for MNKD. When I first invested I was thinking $30-50 within 5 years. My average basis is $4.25 but that is with a little averaging down. Then came CRL #2 followed by mass dilution. I'm hoping to still realize $15-20 3 years from now where I'd sell half and hold the rest for long term hoping technosphere delivery becomes another revenue stream. Unfortunately it is no longer going to be retirement money.
