I wouldn't go nearly so far to say it's a joke, although I agree with you re MNKD - it has limited utility here; that said, many rely on it, and just because of that, it can help you; if nothing else, I think it may help some make more confident decisions, and that's generally a good thing.
I don't know too much about it, but enough to know it's a little like looking back at the Racing Form after the race and making a case for the 35 to 1 shot that just went wire to wire!
BillyW, Matt a good speaker? I think only in comparison with Al and Hakam! I was underwhelmed by his presentation (and all the others he's made), and I wasn't even expecting much from him. But, perhaps you are right, I'm just not on your wavelength there, and you may well be the guy tuned to the right station!
We don't have any snake oil salesmen in this company, both good and bad, but mainly good. I would bet that Al in his day was better - I saw him in the MiniMed days on several occasions, and he was good, but, even then, his best days as an orator were behind him. The thing about Al, to me, is that even as his verbal skills have eroded, he almost always comes across as genuine and very excited about MNKD - that's a big deal to me.
