You might be "safer" buying the October calls. If trial news is expected in mid to late August it might happen after options expiration. You can sell your calls on the "irrational exhuberance" for a nice premium since you will still have time factor on your side in Oct.

Assuming trial results are favorable, there's always the chance of a partner in Sept/Oct.

Also the new filing with the FDA in early Oct.

I would love to see $20 on good trial data.
