Probably the same reason that Fancamp optioned it off to Probe and after 1 drill hole by Probe, they didn't take up the option.  Junior exploration is a crap shoot, and most of their efforts end up shooting blanks.  With limited capital, they juggle claims around like some would juggle credit cards using 1 to pay the other.  Freeing up or pawning off a claim pays will reduce the balance on one of the credit cards so you can play with another for a while.
