Management of BMK is the same as where involved with another Junior my fingers were burnt on but the fact remains their actions were not in the best interests of shareholders. Or they were not strong enough to say no and hold out for a better deal. Weak isn't good when dealing in the exploration game.
Now Dick at Noront is something odd in this business. He's courteous and respected even to those who over the years lost money in Noront. He's built a strong team and brought in heavy hitters, who've yet to prove their worth, at low cost to shareholders.
Now Dick is a hell of a salesman who believes in his company and kept it together. There is a reason for the over 130 million shares outstanding and that's because he's had to sell shares over the many years trying to find that bonanza ore body.
Many current shareholders have got to know Dick over the years and probably more than any other junior exploration company CEO he cares about them, almost an extended family. He's also not a young man although sure energetic. There is no reason for him to try and pull a fast one and have to live with that the rest of his life. Integrety has to be worth a great deal when deciding where to invest.
Just because he's a nice guy doesn't mean he's not going to drive the hardest deal possible for Noront. For many years he's taken shares instead of salary and when the smoke clears he can retire a wealthy man. By most people's reconning he's wealthy now.
