It's nice to see a positive opening for the week in the overseas indices. Pretty much at least 1% gains or more across the board. The one suprising thing is how the price of gold is getting hammered, a complete suprise after last weeks interest rate cuts in the US. It appears the US Fed is protecting the $US and it has caught many investors in the precious metals by suprise. The POG over $1,000 predictions got ahead of themselves and a retracement in POG is underway. Some chartists are calling for $800 an oz POG, in the near term.

Back in McFaulds Lake, the rumour of NOT releasing visuals from their 2nd anomoly early this week, has investors sitting on pins and needles. A few chosen words from NOT like mineralized massive sulphides will create an investor stampede into McFaulds Lake stocks. This could be the one event that puts McFaulds Lake stocks back on investor radars for the rest of 2008. Hard to imagine anything else that could be better for the plays. The two area plays that would most likely benefit the most would be FNC and PRB, just because of the proximity factor. Put them on your watch list to play in case of halt by NOT. I doubt NOT would halt unless the visuals were worthy of it.

Other events possible this week in the McFaulds Lake plays is assays from BMK, they are overdue. Also NOT has some assays in the lab that could be announced any time. Also of note is the possibilty of Rhodium assays from NOT, if these are positive it could be a big factor in the share price of NOT depending on the value per tonne that the assays come up with. NOT also has a few JV's agreements that could be announced this week. FNC and PRB could/should be announcing drill plans soon as well. A JV with NOT from either of these two plays would be a big boon to these stocks share price as it would show the companies are serious about drilling their properties.
