Dick Nemis is a lawyer. I expect he understands very clearly the business of litigation, where people and companies can get sued. I think all 31 McFaulds CEOs want a level and fair playing field where we all win. Nobody wants any screwup to get them in court. This would cost them big, and cost you and I big. Share prices can plummet in a nanosecond if the Press gets a wiff of litigation.
None of the juniors are going to build a mine. The CVRDs, Tecks, XSTRATAs will do that. When Friedland was negotiating with Falconbridge (?), one of his lawyers made a decision on divulging some info without consulting Friedland - and got fired. Negotiating where confidential information is vital cost that lawyer probably $10 million in company stock.
I know people like to talk - I do. But "loose lips sink ships" - or lose you $10 mil. Simply my thoughts.
