I agree, reason I said use stops behind the stock as it rises, to lock in profits. Never let a winning hand turn into a losing one. Rule #2.
Money management has even a greater need with specs than blue chips. Blue chips are the first to bounce back after a correction, many specs never do. JMHO
Once spec stocks fall out of favour with investors, most, never regain there previous highs. Many investors end up being bagholders in spec stocks, sitting on huge % loss positions because they failed to use proper, money management strategy. For anyone to tell people to just ride out the storm on a stock as it falls is beyond me. Over time anyone who doesn't learn the art of money management, playing speculative stocks, will end up going broke. The odds are overwhelming against you.
