To clarify my position on stop losses. I would never put an actual stop loss in, on a TSX-v stock. The Market Makers will pick your pocket, especially on the lower volume stocks. When I decide on stop losses I use mental stops. When the stock hits my point of enough pain, I put my sell order in.
When placing your stop losses, use pivot points, support and resistance points as your guides. Don't use the obvious spots as places to set your stops, market makers know these spots and run them.
Here is a good Pivot Point Calculator for people to use. When I know I will be playing a stock, I map out these important points the night before. You just need to insert the high, the low and the close then press calculate. You will be amazed how well these points work.
