One thing is for sure, there is no consumer on earth like an American. Since world war 2 they have been bombarded from birth to buy buy buy anything and evrything to keep the economy going. People still need to eat, get to work, buy clothes etc etc. Hence Wallmart is a good economic indicator. How bad will things get is anyones guess. If their dollar goes down the chute then we're all in trouble and gold will go to the moon.
