Good News QQ, UC has the right idea, keep drillin! Things keep moving on. Just got off the phone with my contact in Webequie, its cold today, minus 33 in town, at this temp the wump wump of the helicopters is even more pronounced than normal. Still a fair amount of activity going on in the region, lots of heli flights, choppers have been gone for extended periods of time which to me means they are all very busy moving rigs and doing shift changes, as well there are a couple of crews currnently doing line cutting in the area, these guys are on schedule for the xmas shut down on the 18th for charter out on the 19 with estimated return on the 10th. of Jan, 2009. Word is most company crews are all doing the same as far as xmas shutdown. Road construction to Pickle Lake began from the Webequie end early last week and is ongoing at these temps. Easy to build compact snow roadbed with waterflooding at these temps. Any ice crossing should be no problem unless there is substantial current flow issues at a crossing otherwise you can build ice very rapidly at these temps. There have been a few ventursome soles make it out to esker camp and back, still no road yet however. There are an awful lot of companies with staked or JV positions in the ROF, some are hedging the money they have and some are spending the money. Economy, yeah its hurting but the ROF will prevail eventually, these companies are not spending literally 100's of millions of dollars to see it all go to waste. They are all investing in the future, a future they all see through rose colored glasses as being the next big world mining district, makes one wonder what other jewels this great country of ours is hiding beneath the overburden.
