Monday morning thoughts |
|
Good morning. To start this week off Asian markets were up sharply today, with the European indices mixed. The US futures are flat this morning but its still early. Nothing on the economic calendar in the US today other than the National Activity Index, however its not widely watched nor is it a market mover. It is expected this week all eyes will be on on the quarterly earnings of some of the corporate biggies such as Bank of America, Halliburton and a few of the big names in tech. The trend last week was certainly up as the bull market marches ahead on the DOW. I expect this trend to continue as bad news has been getting bought lately.
Back in McFaulds Lake a dismal week last week is behind us, but, I expect this week to be much more exciting. The rumours in the trenches are saying a news release from NOT is coming this week, probably by Wednesday at the latest. Assays from DE1 and DE2 should be any day also.
The word out of PRB is various outcrop samples have been sent to the assay labs and that line cutting is currently being carried out in McFaulds. Dave Palmer will make an appearance to the site at the end of April and that a drill rig has been contracted with Norex. The rumour is a drill date will be set sometime around the middle of May. Finally one of the NOT, Double Eagle proximity properties, will get tested by the drill bit.
Word out of FNC is they have hired a drill and an announcement will be made soon that the drill will be turning on their McFaulds Lake property, sometime in the next 2 weeks. Of course as always with Fancamp the word "soon" makes me leery. Until an official news release with Peter Smith's signature on is hits the news wires I won't hold my breath on this one. With FNC, seeing is believing. I expect a sharp rebound in FNC's share price the moment an announcement is official. I for one will be buying a few shares on spec on the announcement.
The rumour that BMK has made a discovery has sure faded fast. Once again the share price is under pressure as investors avoid this stock like the plague. I see no reason to own this stock until something of merit is released from the assay lab. Of course a visual with the words mineralization found in massive sulphides might change my thinking on this stock. The bottom line here is, dead money, to we actually do hear something.
FWR/SPQ/KWG's share prices are still under downward pressure. This might afford those with a little longer time frame the opportunity to pick up shares at bargain prices. Those last visuals still stick in my mind as being good. I see no reason why not to own these stocks other than the timeline waiting for the assays. FWR with its anomoly to the NE of DE1 still may be the dark horse, sleeper stock, to own in McFaulds Lake. JMHO
Best of luck to all McFaulds Lake investors today.
