Merit Mining Corp. Changes Name

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 15, 2010) - Merit Mining Corp. (TSX VENTURE:MEM) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that at a Special Meeting of its Shareholders held today, the shareholders have approved a special resolution to change the name of the Company to Huakan International Mining Inc. The Company will be filing for TSX Venture Exchange approval in respect of the name change and expects to effect the name change during the week of December 20 - 24. Upon receipt of Exchange approval, the Company expects to trade under its new name and a new symbol "HK".
