KELOWNA, BC, March 25 /CNW/ - Metalex Ventures Limited
(MTX: TSX Venture Exchange) is pleased to report a new kimberlite has been
discovered on the Company's claims in the headwaters of the Cuango River,
Angola.
The vertical core hole intersected kimberlite at 30 feet and as of today
is still in kimberlite at 310 feet. The field crews report that the kimberlite
contains local autoliths, probable purple pyrope garnets with kelphitic rims,
and basement and country rock fragments.
The hole is planned to extend to 600 feet wherein about 600 kilograms of
kimberlite core will be split and half will be air freighted to Canada for
diamond recovery and diamond indicator mineral analysis.
Geophysicist Scott Hogg estimates the newly discovered kimberlite to be
about 200 by 300 meters or approximately five hectares in size.
Metalex is pleased with the discovery of the new kimberlite and is
continuing its drill testing program.
