Searchgold Resources recently reported the discovery of a high-grade gold system at Bakoudou, located just northeast of Mexivada's large Mbinda prospecting permit. http://www.mexivada.com/s/Home.asp

The study identified, on Zone A, an oxide resource of 165,412 oz Au comprising 2,100,000 metric tons at a grade of 2.45 g/t Au in the measured and indicated categories and a sulfide resource of 111,968 oz Au comprising 570,000 metric tons at a grade of 6.11 g/t Au in the measured and indicated categories (The combined oxide-sulfide measured and indicated resource stands at 277,380 oz Au). Important artisan mining activity outlined in the anomaly's immediate drainage basin were values of up to 34.50 g/t Au have previously been obtained by SearchGold in mineralized quartz boulders.

Drilling started in November 2006 and on March 13th 2007, SearchGold provided an update on the drilling campaign presently in progress on its Bakoudou-Magnima Gold Project, the highlights of which included :

• 36.94 g/t Au over 1.65 m
• 15.82 g/t Au over 2.60 m
• 15.40 g/t Au over 2.95 m
• 8.77 g/t Au over 16.05 m
• 7.65 g/t Au over 12.10 m
• 3.35 g/t Au over 14.25 m
• 2.10 g/t Au over 17.00 m
• 1.74 g/t Au over 12.65 m

These results confirmed the widths and grades previously obtained while extending the area of known mineralization.

1 - Extension and thickening of Zone A at depth as demonstrated by the following mineralized intervals:

• BA06-21 : 4.43 g/t Au over 17.20m from 24.80m to 42.00m
• BA06-24 : 2.24 g/t Au over 32.50m from 33.00m to 65.50m
• BA06-26 : 1.34 g/t Au over 16.60m from 62.40m to 79.00m

2 - Extension of Zone A towards the north-west as demonstrated by the following mineralized intervals obtained 50m to the north-west of the previous SearchGold drill holes:

• BA06-13 : 1.20 g/t Au over 6.00m from 10.00m to 16.00m and 5.01 g/t Au over 4.00m from 19.50m to 23.50m
• BA06-14 : 3.05 g/t Au over 4.05m from 9.10m to 13.15m
