I agree. Mr. Bailey did sound a bit tentative. Maybe he felt that, although Minefinders is taking the "high road" in the way it's handling the protesters, he may suspect (deep down) that if he had acted like the other companies in dealing with them, the outcome might have been better for his company?
I'm not saying that I know what he really really feels. But, given how businesses are notoriously run in Latin America, he may be making a bigger, more uncertain bet than he gambled for.
