Mr. Tyrkalo, for what it is worth is leaving the company (per last NR) so what he said may be irrevelant. Bill Goodwin is associated (indirectly) with MEO's competitors (per an earlier post here) and so he doesn't seem to have a disinterested opinion.

IMO, I think that TOGA is a bit of an "old boy network" and that is why MEO has had to work extra hard and be extra careful. One slip and the "boys" (i.e. Atlas America) will say "I told you we couldn't traust them northerners." Overcoming the attitude may one of the reasons that management has been so paranoid about the project.
