I asked Bill Cawker about JB #1 in the winter of 2007 and he replied that there was paraffin in the oil produced in JB #1. He suggested that chemicals must be added to keep the well producing and that oil production must be continuous (no stoppages).
MEO has stated that they are going to use a "secret" completion technique to exponentially increase oil production. My best guess is that production in JB #1 would rapidly drop off without the application of an advanced oil production technology (just like Morgan Highpoint #3, initial production of 250 barrels per 8 hours -> 15 bpd in 10 days).
I believe an exponential increase in production could range between 2 to 10 times (30 to 150 bpd in Morgan Highpoint #3). The payback period for 150 bpd of sustained production would be approximately 2 months, since it costs about $1 million to drill a well.
The secret completion technique could be directional drilling from their existing vertical wells.
