Something Pohl said in passing at the SHM, was that a few years back, he gave up a senior position at his firm to take on his initial role at PTSC because of the potential(I forget what his title was at that point)...If someone has it, in it`s entirety, I`d like to see it. I believe he has M/A (Merger/Acquisition) experience.....
Regardless, IMO I think Pohls task is as (or maybe more) daunting, and in addition he has less of a supporting cast in trying to pull it off. His objective will be (in order to promote Ignite as a viable chip, with Turley`s help), find a suitable (assumed a private company) company with skill sets either identical to, or closely matching those used to produce the Ignite.
Since Turley commented (and has been largely hinted in the past) the surounding tools for Ignite are not up to snuff (my words), they need to find a niche outfit that has some killer tool apps they can use and are close to a plug-in for the Ignite.
Then even after they find a candidate, they have to try to negotiate to terms favorable that will allow PTSC in the drivers seat. That will take a specific set of circumstances that are pretty gosh darn narrow to achieve, such as:
1) Finding a start up CEO willing to share or give up leadership, in order to get funding and an instant trading shell already worth some money.
2) Finding enough of a company left (assuming if a company`s in trouble, the good hired people have either left or are on their way out) to resurrect and re-focus to embrace and support the Ignite.
I think the preferred goal is to see some unknown company or group morph into PTSC. I do wonder how flexible Pohl would be if the best deal he could leverage meant that PTSC morphed into that something instead...comments?
Whatever....Turley is the conduit to knowing what`s out there, or more specifically (and realistically) what 2 or 3 genius-level people are trying to make a go of it out there (with their start up) but are in heavy turbulence, need a white knight and are open to supporting another type of chip while they`re at it.....PTSC needed Turley to be more committed and on the BOD - he now has a vested interest in conducting thorough DD and making correct choices...
