I believe you are correct. The Art of the Deal is still very murky in my mind. Perhaps, Carlton was the conduit between PTSC & AMD to structure the Deal. Did he originate it?...The terms were onerous. But, I`ll give him credit. AMD was PTSC`s answer to Moore/TPL/INTC at the time.
