Yes the ``Float`` will still be the same on paper, I`m talking about the actual shares availavle to trade, just like the fact of holding the stock certificates so shorts can`t borrow. If people are holding them and not selling, then the amount of share available to trade is lower. I know it`s not a perfect world and all the real float is to be sold at some point, but think about it....if S and L, AMD, TPL, Fish, Management, and all longs were to hold tight and wait on the big run, then there would still be the ``float`` but it would be locked away, we could see only a couple of hundered thousand traded, not a couple of million, each day, maybe even a few thousand if everyone held....of course the price would rocket up like crazy , even in an unhealthy way but it`s fun to think about such things.
