“Is it possible that TPL set up Intellasys to appease Moore?” YES!
Yes, absolutely! I have met with the IntellaSys folks (it’s an impressive group with lots of pedigree), and I absolutely believe that the IntellaSys SEA Platform is Moore’s pet project. There is nothing wrong with Moore having a pet project. And we all know that Chet Brown and Team have serious coin in the bank to help Moore build out his dream. From what I can tell, IntellaSys’ new product efforts are currently relegated to “pufferfish” status. The SEA Platform is based on Moore’s Forth programming language. Seriously…, how many Forth programmers do you know? From an industry perspective, Forth programmers are virtually non-existent. Speaking of non-existent, there are also the vaporware application demos that Intellasys awes potential customers with…selling futures.
IntellaSys has plans to ramp up to ~50 folks by summer time. By next year, it is my bet that the majority of these folks will be taking apart products and investigating potential 336 patent infringers. TPL’s top priority is the 336 patent; and I am confident that Patriot will benefit.
