IBM, Sony, Toshiba extend chip deal

THE TRINITY that created the Cell processor has extended its alliance to make 32 nanometre processors in the future.

Toshiba, IBM and Sony have extended their technology alliance until 2010 to research and create processors, according to Dow Jones.
