I`m of the feeling Sony was left out to establish a ``divide and conquer`` strategy in dealing with the remainder of the ``Cell`` team...It could have been that in bringing Sony into the fold like TPL did, it serves to create internal pressure within the cell team to settle and stay on schedule, plus an added bonus in eliminating any potential inclinations for unification against TPL.

I`m sure Sony was interested in cooperating on some level, on terms through either of the two alternatives you suggest.

I`m encouraged at the timing of the release and am hopeful for a crescendo of further events unfolding.
