Have you ever heard of Germany, France, Japan, Spain, Panama, Grenada and yes Iraq all free because of direct U.S. military involvement.
Have you ever heard of the Poland,Israel, Czech., Ukraine, Taiwan etc... all free because of the threat of direct American military involvement.
``...do young 19-24 year olds REALLY know what they are volunteering for? Do they REALLY know what war is like???``
Yes and No. The horror`s of war can only best be described by those who have experienced war up close. However, if it was not for those 19 - 24 year old Americans who since the birth of our country have shouldered the burden of maintaining our freedom then you would have a very different world history to mangle. These men and women are America and don`t you forget it!
So, from an Army grunt and a Father of a Marine and a Naval Officer I suggest you get off your left leaning soap box and ``Move On``. I suggest you stick with posting about PTSC. My boy`s and the son`s and daughter of hundreds and thousands of American`s are not arm chair hero`s but are puting their lives on the line to protect you I don`t need to read your dribble.
God help those students in your classes get the real facts somewhere outside of your classroom.
