It is difficult for the market, or any of us, to value the company when we don`t know the settlement amounts. It would seem that with multiple settlements in any given time period, that PTSC may be able to make a statement such as ``thus far during the quarter, settlements total approximately XX millions of dollars.`` Otherwise, only the SEC filings and totals will give us a clue. There would be an enormous difference between, say, settlements that average $5 million compared to an average of $30 million.
It is interesting that the Seiko Epson PR includes the statement, ``Seiko Epson Corporation has agreed to purchase, pending approval by its board of directors, a license to the Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) (MMP(TM)) Portfolio.`` For the size of Seiko Epson, one would think that an amount that would require approval by the board of directors would be significant. Alternatively, they may rubber stamp as ``approval`` all such purchases. Anyone have any ideas?
