I think the size of the deals and frequency of the signings is being over analyzed. It all has to do with the degree of infringement. Casio, Nikon, Pentax were easy to do -limited infringement. They will fetch a lower license fee. Sony is huge in the infringement areas. It took time to figure it out. Their license fee will be large, even with an early signing discount. IMO. Just wait and see...
