Rash - My heart goes out to you and your family. Those four legged campanions of ours are hard to loose, but they leave the fondest memories.
I had a German Shepherd that was the family dog, but had picked me as the primary. Good old happy fun playful protector of the family that thought I was the greatest guy in the world. You couldn`t help but love her. Once when my wife was griping at me in a tone and volume that was a little bit over the top, good old Hawley sat down beside me and began barking at the wife. She was a pretty good judge of charachter that dog; it took me a little longer but I eventually came to the same conclusion. The old battle ax is an ex-wife now.
Hawley died over a decade ago and I still miss her. It was one of the hardest losses I have experienced in my life. It is also one of the greatest friendships I have ever had or expect to ever have in my life.
Ok I`m done.... sorry to all that don`t like this type of conversation, but you should have skipped over this when the subject began with OT.
