Upon buying a company out on Nasdaq, many companies do reverse splits you know.

No I don`t know. To me, your sentence is contradictary and counterintuitive. Please explain. Is PTSC a buyer or a buyee?

What are the benefits of a reverse split in the instance you aren referring to?
